"No, it's fine. I don't need to talk to her. If you say she can be trusted, than she can be trusted. But if we have kits, I would want to be with them and you in DustClan. I would not want to tear our family apart."
Flickerstorm nodded, touched by Starlingstorm's willingness to make sacrifies for her and their possible future family. She wondered if she could ever leave DustClan. Probably not. As much as she felt guilty for her selfishness. She grew up in DustClan and had all her kin there. But Starlingstorm had the exact same reasons to stay in MarshClan. She hated herself for being so self-absorbed while he was so humble.
But then again, they wouldn't have to cross that bridge for a while. Or, maybe. Flickerstorm swallowed nervously, afraid for their twisted future.
Suddenly, her eyes seemed to ignite like a branch in a lightning storm. "Of course, that's only if you want kits," she purred mischeviously.
ooc. So short. <3 writers block.

"Of course, that's only if you want kits,"
Starlingstorm smiled at her mischevious purr. "With you?"
He meowed, trying to make his voice sound distainful but his eyes sparkled with amusment. "Of course I do." He purred nudging her with his muzzle. Suddenly, he sprang away from her, skidded to a halt on the chilly earth and spun around to face her, his shoulders hunched. He then leapt forward playfully, feeling his paws make gentle contact with her side. He had always loved to play fight. His father had always encouraged his kits to practice from a young age, but Starlingstorm had always just liked the fun of it. He and Tigerflower had always enjoyed coordinating sneak attacks on their siblings too - mostly Shadowpelt. He always let out the most amusing sounds when they leapt down upon him. The memory make him laugh to himself as he rolled away from Flickerstorm, amber eyes sparkling. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"With you? Of course I do."
Flickerstorm was just about to say something until Starlingstorm leaped away and batted her gently with his paws. She narrowed her eyes and crouched, tail waving.
"You really wanna play this game? I'm Birchstar's daughter, remember. I was taught how to fight before I was even out of the nursery!" she purred playfully, launching herself at him.
The tricolored she-cat came at the tabby tom like a charging bear, her blue eyes laughing. She hadn't had any sort of 'fun' in a long time. The last time she had genuinely smiled or laughed was way back when Gravelpelt and his littermates were only a few moons old. She recalled how her four precious kittens used to swarm Blizzardclaw whenever he used to enter the nursery, swarming their father in a mass of gray, white, cream, and golden fur. The memory was bittersweet however, so she was forced to push it away.
Even during the time she was with Pantherfoot was heart-wrenching. It was hard to look at him and not think of Blizzardclaw. Even when Beechkit and Cougarkit were born, it was hard to smile because Gravelpaw and his sisters would always be pointedly during their backs on their new half-brothers. Thank StarClan her three surviving sons all got along now, coming together after tragedy had struck the family during the deaths of Blizzardclaw, Flurryfoot, Featherstorm, and Pantherfoot.
The past was the past. Life moved on and you had to move along with it.

"You really wanna play this game? I'm Birchstar's daughter, remember. I was taught how to fight before I was even out of the nursery!"
Starlingstorm laughed. "Oh dear, I am terrified now!"
He meowed, amusment flecking his sarcastic tone. He felt her smash into him with great force but took the blow to his advantage and used it's power to roll backwards with her. He felt his paws hit the earth again and sprang away, leaping with a powerful bound towards one of the trees nearest to him. He clung to the side with his powerful claws and watched her. Without another word, he scrambled up the tree and paused when he clung to one of the branches above her. He then leapt down upon her, claws seathed of course, and stood over her. "I am king of this land!" He meowed in a deep, mock commanding voice. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Oh dear, I am terrified now! I am king of this land!"
Flickerstorm rolled with Starlingstorm, barely able to gather her thoughts before she saw him racing up a tree. She tilted her head to the side, confused at his plan of attack. Her blue eyes stretched wide when she saw him leap down at her, but she let out a playful cry.
"You could be the king but watch the queen conquer!" she meowed, rolling away from Starlingstorm.
~
Sleetpaw padded through MarshClan territory, a tiny mouse dangling from her jaws. Her warrior ceremony was only days away, and she was desperate to prove to Hawkstar what a loyal warrior she was, so she told Reedstorm she was going to go hunting. Unfortunately, with the recent blizzard, the silver tabby hadn't had much luck except the scrawny rodent.
The apprentice battled her way through the snow with undying motivation. Then, she stopped to scent the air. DustClan! Sleetpaw scanned the area. She was indeed close to the Meadow but the disgusting odor usually never travelled this far into MarshClan territory.
"I am king of this land!"
"You could be the king but watch the queen conquer!"
Sleetpaw twitched her whiskers. She couldn't make out the voices, but it was probably Egretpaw and Ibispaw play-fighting. Letting out a loud, squeaky sneeze, the silver tabby continued her trek through the snow. She changed her direction immediately, figuring that her denmates had probably scared off all the prey.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

"You could be the king but watch the queen conquer!"
Starlingstorm was about to laugh and retort when he caught a scent on the wind. It was Sleetpaw's scent and she was near. He felt a sudden thrill of fear and stood, his legs stiff with nervous tention. He heard a fant sneeze and then her scent began to move further away from him and Flickerstorm.
He cast the tri-colored she-cat a nervous glance and plooded quietly towards her. He touched his nose to her ear and said, "We'd better leave it here, your Clan will be missing you and apparently my Clan is staring to come out into the forest."
He meowed quietly, looking into her beautiful blue eyes. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"We'd better leave it here, your Clan will be missing you and apparently my Clan is staring to come out into the forest."
Flickerstorm nodded. She hadn't caught Sleetpaw's sneeze, but if she swiveled her ears to the back of her head she could hear some cat shuffling through the snow. Her heart thundered, pounding rapidly from within her chest. She swallowed tensely, trying to moist her dry throat.
She would have no problems getting back into camp; she could just say she went out for a walk. But Starlingstorm might have some issues, especially if the nosy apprentice had figured out he was with a DustClan cat.
She touched her nose to his ear. "Be careful getting back in, okay? I don't want you to get into trouble," she meowed.

"Be careful getting back in, okay? I don't want you to get into trouble,"
Starlingstorm nodded slightly and nuzzled her. "Don't worry, I'll be careful."
He meowed quietly. "When will we meet again? It must be soon, I don't think I can stand to be away from you for too long." He meowed, aware of a saddened feeling in his heart at the thought of leaving her. Oh how he wished they were in the same Clan, that would make everything so much easier... but he supposed he would have to take what he was given. She was worth the risk of being discovered anyway. "Don't worry, I'll be careful. When will we meet again? It must be soon, I don't think I can stand to be away from you for too long."
Flickerstorm pondered, lingering on that thought for a while. She could get out at any time. She bore no responsibility to an apprentice anymore, since Cardinalpaw became Cardinalheart before succumbing to greencough. Rowanpaw too had also laid victim to the disease, but he hadn't had the glory of becoming a warrior before his death. Starlingstorm didn't have an apprentice either, so that was another bullet dodged.
But both cats were important warriors to their respected Clans. What if Birchstar or Hawkstar needed them and they couldn't get away? The best time to meet was at night, when no cat would suspect anything because no cat would be awake to suspect anything.
"How about two nights from now? Same place. We can't risk meeting in daylight anymore. What if Sleetpaw had came over here?" she suggested.

Starlingstorm watched her think for a moment, his ears pricked so as to catch any sounds of approaching cats.
"How about two nights from now? Same place. We can't risk meeting in daylight anymore. What if Sleetpaw had came over here?"
The large brown tabby tom nodded slowly, thinking it over. He usually slept by one of the entrances of the warriors den anyway, any cat roused would think he was merely going to make dirt.
"Yes, alright. That works."
He meowed, flicking his tail slightly nervously. "Then Hawkstar would have heard about it for sure and we would both be in a lot of trouble." He meowed wryly. He didn't like the thought of Sleetpaw finding out about he and Flickerstorm's relationship. The she-cat was too loyal to Hawkstar to be trusted with this. That and he didn't know her all that well so what reason would she have for keeping the secret? She hadn't come over through, thank StarClan. Starlingstorm touched his nose lightly to her ear once more and gave her cheek a lick. "Two nights from now then, I'm looking forward to it." He meowed, smiling slightly. "See you then dear Flickerstorm." He meowed, beginning to back away, somewhat relutantly. "Be well and stay safe." He added as he was nearing the edge of the copse of trees. He paused a moment longer then wisked off into the meadow, the snow reaching his lower chest as he entered the unsheltered area. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
