Torrent aroused from his slumber, rolling onto his back with his forelegs bent at a crook. His silver coat was messy with moss and heather debris clinging to it. He stared up at the pale gray leaf-bare sky through pale green eyes, in awe. His jaws split in a yawn, revealing two rows of long, pointed teeth. Torrent blinked slowly before rolling back onto his belly. He whipped around, feeling a sudden itch on his left hind leg. Around several heartbeats later, he pushed himself to his paws. Cautiously, he scanned the camp. It looked at though everyone were still asleep, though he wouldn`t put it past one of the older cats to already be awake and out hunting. He cast his gaze towards his sister's scent, looking at a sleeping Lacebark.
He shook his head sharply, attempting to shun the sleepy haze that filled his mind away. Heaving in a great sigh, Torrent rose to his paws. His silver coat gleamed in the pre-dawn dawn, and it took his eyes a few heartbeats to adjust. Silently, he dropped into a crouch. He didn't want to wake the others, especially Osiris or Dewlyn. Both cats were vicious and cranky, always in a bad mood. He didn't want his ears shredded today.
Waning his eyes to slits, he allowed his gaze to travel to Iris's grave. His own cousin, Gravity, Dewlyn's brother, had murdered his mother because she had attempted to kill him as a kit. Currently, Torrent loathed Gravity. He wanted nothing to do with the dark ginger tomcat. He could feel the silver fur on his shoulders rising with fury, and his claws uncurled into the ground. He wanted to steady himself, to keep himself from sinking his claws into Gravity's neck. Oh yes, it would be a long, long time before his cousin was forgiven. As if his thoughts had alerted him, Torrent caught a flash of dark ginger fur out of his peripheral. He whipped around, his facial expression pulled into one of pure hatred. But, to his relief, Gravity was still deeply asleep and it had only been a flick of his tail that had made Torrent jump. Perhaps he was just being paranoid.
Sighing, Torrent slipped past Dewlyn and headed out into the territory. The Lawless Territory, where rogues roam free with no rules or regulations to guide their paws. While their was nothing for him to do, Torrent decided to patrol his family's borders. They couldn't risk another family invading their territory, especially since Iris was dead and Adanna was gone. And Torrent would make sure one wouldn't.

Drenn sat in a mossy patch and groomed herself meticulously. The ashy grey patches on her white pelt had a clean gloss to them, proving her mild obsession with her beautiful fur. Briss and Ricco were still asleep under the holly bush they used as a den in their little camp, and Diablo was out hunting. For himself, most likely. He never thinks of bringing some for us.[/i] She thought as a sneer marred her elequent face for a moment, and disapeared just as fast as it had appeared. Well, that just means you get to go out and streah your legs and find a stray tom, right darling?[/i]
A russle in the bush alerted Drenn to Diablo's return, and she flicked her tail in acknowledgement. The big grey tom had a particularly large pheasant in his mouth. He dropped the bird and walked over to where Ricco's black and white fur and Brisses' calico fur were curled up and sleeping peacefully. Diablo prodded Ricco with a massive paw. "Get up."[/b] He commanded gruffly. Ricco hissed sleepily in protest and squirmed around to glare at his massive brother before curling back up. "Leave them alone, Diablo. You're the one who sent them out to patrol last night. Drenn growled at the massive tom. He grunted in reply and turned back to Ricco. Drenn rolled her eyes and sauntered over to the edge of the bushes that marked their camp wall.
"And where are you going?[/b] Diablo meowed accusingly. "To get the breakfast that you so graciously forgot. She replied venemously. Diablo glared at her with his fiery orange eyes for a moment befor growling a simple "Don't get caught." Drenn rolled her pale green eyes again and turned to start out of the camp "Dearest brother, does that sound like me at all? Drenn mewed sarcastically. Out of the camp she wandered for awhile before she caught site of a scrawny rabbit. Drenn gave chase untill she finally brought it down and ate it on the spot. Satisfied she licked her lips and set out to wander for a little longer. She didn't want to be where she wasn't needed, so why go back? [/sup]

The soundwaves of a sarcastic mew touched Torrent's eardrums.
Suddenly, he felt threatened. No, there were two mews now. A tom and a she-cat. Torrent crept backwards as he heard the bushes ahead rustling. From the scent of it, the she-cat was leaving. The gray tom was close enough to hear the mews, but far enough away to be unable to distinguish each separate word.
Torrent rose to full height and padded out to confront the she-cat. This was his family's territory. Whoever she was, her family had a shelter, or a camp, in the clearing beyond. Inhaling sharply, he prowled out of the bushes, his goal to cut the she-cat off. Then, she came into view. She was a beautiful white cat with gray splotches gracing her flanks, back, and extremities.
Awe-struck, Torrent leaped out with a flurry of hisses filtering out through his clenched teeth. His tial was angled downwards, an obvious sign of potential aggression. He didn't who this she-cat was or whether or not she was dangerous, but Torrent was ready to match her anger with his own. His pupils were dilated and his ears were half pulled back. With his back arched slightly, Torrent pulled himself forwards so the pretty gray and white she-cat could see him too.
"Who are you, and what are you doing in my family's territory?" he asked, his voice even but with a sharp as flint edge under it. His claws remained in their sheaths; he was waiting for her to pull her's out first. Torrent wasn't here to provoke a fight.

Drenn was caught completely off guard as the huge solid grey tom leaped into veiw, hissing wildly at her. She arched her back and fluffed up her fur to hide her meager size and hissed loudly back at him. "Who are you, and what are you doing in my family's territory?" The tom growled. Drenn let her fur settle just a bit when she realized how handsom this mysterious tom was. "I suppose I could ask you the same thing, handsom." She said wearily. She had heard the rumors about the powerful rogue family that took up residence in the mountain, and she didn't want to get on their bad side.
Strangely enough, Drenn didn't feel her usual need to drench her dainty paws in blood today. Strange. I must be having an off day.[/i] she thought. As for the tom... Well, he was handsom, now wasn't he? It would be such a waste if she were to... Dispose of him. Yes it would be such a shame...

Torrent flicked his ears calmly, wifling down so he didn't seem as threatening. The gray and white cat didn't seem too dangerous anyways, and so there was no point in trying to harm her or anything. But nonetheless, she seemed awe-struck by him. Unease and flattery glittered in his pale green eyes and his mouth watered with anticipation. The air around Torrent had a salty tang to it due to the flurry of emotions pulsing off of him.
I suppose I could ask you the same thing, handsom.
"Well, I live here. I'm patrolling the borders," he meowed steadily, lowering his rump so he could sit. He wrapped his tail around his paws and looked at the she-cat with neutral eyes. "I'm Torrent, son of Iris and Ahmose. And you are?"
Now that she had called him handsome, Torrent looked at the she-cat through new eyes. He noticed the soot gray splotches that adorned her extremities and graced her face and flanks. He noticed the way her tail moved and the shape of her ears. The way her whiskers flowed like feathers seemed to intrigue him especially. Torrent blinked slowly, her beauty now very aparent.
ooc. Sorry for the length! I typed this out on my iPod.

ooc. Hey, so, I talked to Blue. She said she'll play a kit so Drenn and Torrent can have four. :3 She said she can play either a:
- silver tabby she-cat called Everest
or a
- white tom named Salt
She'd like her rogue to be evil, but she says it's up to you which of the above you'd like her to play., but Everest is her first choice. :3
