DAWN'S WARRIOR NAME RATING`
Well howdy there! Dawn here, with a new service to yall (: Alright, now many of you know about neo. There are warrior name rating boards, but they aren't always good. Or rather, it is rare to find a rating board worth going to. Never fear though! Here is your haven. Have a new name you have been thinking about using, but want to know another opinion before you do? Well here you are. Just post the name, and Dawn will rate it. *[/sub] Remember though, just post the name in reply to this post. No appearance, no nothing. A name should stand alone, giving me what I need to know about the cat. *[/sub] Now, if you would prefer to send me the name so no one can see it, feel free to do so. You can also ask me to delete posts once questions and stuff are answered. *[/sub] If you post a name, please also post somewhere on that same post if you are alright with people other than Dawn commenting on it. If you don't want other people to do so, put that up so we know. *[/sub] Likewise, if you come to this board and want to comment on a name, please make sure their post says that they are alright with you doing so. If someone has requested that no one else comment on their name, please respect their wishes. If you don't I will delete your post and warn you. *[/sub] Just know that if you viciously attack someone's name, Dawn will be angry. You can criticize without being mean, so please try it. If you don't well, as a member of staff, I can take it up with the rest of the staff and you will be punished. Now, go ahead and post your names (: [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Carmineclaw

Rachel's name:
Carmineclaw: Prefix; I like the uniqueness of Carmine-, though I am a bit torn. On one hand, it's always nice to have a prefix no one else does, though at the same time, I am wondering if the cats would know what that specific shade of red was called. There is also the fact that carmine is a rather vivid shade of red, not seen in pelts. 1/2 Suffix; the -claw suffix is always a good one. By using it, I see a strong battler, fierce in a fight. 2/2 Overall; On the whole, the name has a nice ring to it. I really like the alliteration, along with the pleasant combination of unique and traditional. I appreciate Carmineclaw better than Redclaw, for the originality, though Redclaw more than Carmineclaw for how difficult it is to flaw. 5/6 Final score 8/10 [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Well, I have two names but they're fairly similar. I would like opinions (from anyone) on both and which one they think I should use.
Ternflower and Ternwhisker

Lexxa's name:
Oriolefang: Prefix; The prefix used hints a black and orange or a black and golden cat. Are there cats like that? Cause for some reason, I can't recall seeing any like that :/ On the up side, it's a nice unique prefix, that can be backed by the presence of that bird where the Clans live... I think. 1/2 Suffix; -fang is always a good suffix, it's one of my favorite. A cat who is either fierce in battle or else has a sharp tongue. 2/2 Overall; Overall, the name is pretty good. It sounds a bit odd rolling off the tongue, and it reads rather awkwardly at first glance. However, it's a nice blend of unique and traditional, even if I am not sure if there is a golden and black cat. 5/6 Final score 8/10 Pretzel's names: Ternflower: Prefix; I am assuming a black and white cat? I do like Tern-, it's a very good prefix. I dunno what it is about it, it's just nice. 2/2 Suffix; -flower hints a gentle cat perhaps, the motherly type. That or she is more one of those cats who is ornate and into themselves, much like Tigerflower and Rowanflower. Either way, it's a good suffix. 2/2 Overall; Overall, I like this name. I imagine a black and white she-cat who is gentle on the eyes and on the mind. The combination is nice, and I like this name. 6/6 Final score 10/10 Ternwhisker: Prefix; I am assuming a black and white cat? I do like Tern-, it's a very good prefix. I dunno what it is about it, it's just nice. 2/2 Suffix; -whisker tells me of a cat who is a good hunter. Lately, I have found it difficult to find a name that -whisker works well with, but it remains one of my favorite suffixes. 2/2 Overall; Overall, I like this name. I imagine a black and white cat who is a very developed hunter. While this name does not hint a gender to me as strongly as Ternflower, I do like how it could go either way. I really like this combination. 6/6 Final score 10/10 Pretzel, overall, I like Ternwhisker better than Ternflower, if you are going for a cat who is more individual, more warrior than queen. I like Ternflower however, if you are going for a more mothering, sweet cat; more of a queen than a warrior. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Petally's names:
Lionfang: Prefix; Oh Lion-, always a favorite (: This prefix shows me a golden furred cat, perhaps larger than most. 2/2 Suffix; -fang is always a good suffix, it's one of my favorite. A cat who is either fierce in battle or else has a sharp tongue. 2/2 Overall; You just had to pick a name you knew I would love (: As a matter of fact, this is the name I had picked out for Lionkit/paw (Ebonystar's son) back in MarshClan... oh memories. Anyway, it rolls off the tongue nicely and makes me smile. I see a golden cat who is fierce in battle/has a fierce tongue. 6/6 Final score 10/10 Jaywhisker: Prefix; You describe to me a blueish gray cat with Jay-. Perhaps a sleek, more lithe cat? I dunno, that's just what I see. 2/2 Suffix; -whisker tells me of a cat who is a good hunter. Lately, I have found it difficult to find a name that -whisker works well with, but it remains one of my favorite suffixes. 2/2 Overall; Overall, this name is good. I like how you used a short perfix to complement the longer -whisker suffix. I see a blue gray cat who is an excellent hunter. However, when I say it, it rolls off somewhat oddly. Still a good name though. 5/6 Final score 9/10 Cloudfoot: Prefix; Cloud- tells me of a fluffy white cat. Classic. 2/2 Suffix; -foot hunts a quicker cat, and I ADRORE you for not using -flight... even though I know you hate that suffix. 2/2 Overall; You know who this name makes me think of? Cloudtail. GO FIGUR I like it all the same, and definately think you should use it. I see a fluffy white cat who is a speed demon. 6/6 Final score 10/10 [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Toast's name:
Kestrelwing: Prefix; Kestrel- tells me of a brown tabby. I like it, though of course I do have something of a bias towards bird prefixes. 2/2 Suffix; -wing is not a traditional suffix, as cat's don't have wings and can't act in a 'wingy' way. Because of that, it would not be an acceptable suffix for this site, which prides itself on traditional naming. 0/2 Overall; Overall, the intentions of this name are good and it has a good start with the Kestrel- prefix, but the suffix could use a bit of work. If you would like a guid to traditional suffixes, ask me and I can give you a link to Pretzel's. 3/6 Final score 5/10 [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Toast's name:
Hawkeye: Prefix; Hawk- also tells me of a brown tabby cat, though perhaps a larger cat. 2/2 Suffix; I have never really known about -eye, I suppose it means a cat with good eyesight, yes? If that is the case, than I suppose it's acceptable :3 2/2 Overall; Overall, Hawkeye is a good name. I get a good image of the cat from it, which is what it is supposed to give. At the same time, it rolls off the tongue somewhat oddly. All the same, it's a good name. 5/6 Final score 9/10 [/blockquote][/blockquote]

if you can, rate Orangefang I've read the name guide on here, it's different from the one I use, heehee, that's why I have wing and flight at the end of some of my characters names.

Frosty's name:
Rainstream: Prefix; Rain- tells me of a blue gray cat, though I can see issue with it. I know that Petally is somewhat iffy on the prefix, as she sees it as saying the cat is clear, like rain water. If you want to use this name, you will want to put together a strong argument for it. 1/2 Suffix; Oh -stream, always a nice suffix. It makes me see a graceful, agile cat :3 2/2 Overall; Overall, I like Rainstream. It's a pretty name for a pretty, graceful she-cat. I remember that this was a name I had considered bringing in back in MarshClan, which actomatically makes it awesome :3 When said outloud, it almost sounds like "main stream" but it still does flow pretty well. 6/6 Final score 9/10 Toast's name: Orangefang: Prefix; Orange- tells me of an orange pelted cat. I like it, even though it's a simple color, it's pretty uncommon. I can't say that I have seen many Orange- cats running around. 2/2 Suffix; -fang displays a fierce cat, either in battle or outside of it, or both. I have always liked -fang as a suffix :3 2/2 Overall; Overall, I like the uniqueness of this name, along with the way to achieved it without going over the top. The simple color that is not used as much as it should be, coupled with the good strong prefix, makes it quite an enjoyable name. 6/6 Final score 10/10 [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Ysi's name:
Smoketail: Prefix; Smoke- tells me of a dark gray cat. I like the simplisity of this prefix. Not overdone but effective in description. For some reason, I also see a smaller cat/longer limbs but that's just me. 2/2 Suffix; -tail is always a good prefix. Tells me of a cat with a long tail/a cat who is graceful perhaps? 2/2 Overall; I like this name a lot actually. I can envision this cat very clearly and the lack of a "personality suffix" (like -storm or -flower or -heart, etc.) leaves much room for personality growth. While I adore those personality prefixes, I feel that -tail is a great compliment for Smoke-. Well done! =D 6/6 Final score 10/10 [/blockquote][/blockquote]
