surprisingly enough, not everyone is a coding genius here at SiTN. so, i have decided to develop a quick and easy tutorial for everyone to use!
a lot of the coding is easy, so i'm just going to post the things that most of us will want to use in our posts to make them fancy-like.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
a quick background
coding on proboards is easy, really. you simply need to put your code in brackets [TAGS HERE] and then type what you want that code to be applied to, then end your code [/TAGS HERE].
HERE GOES!
bolding, italicizing, underlining and striking
if you want to bold your text, simply put 'b' in brackets around the text you want bolded, like so!
INSERT BOLDED TEXT HERE
the same goes for italicizing, underlining and striking, except with 'i', 'u' and 's'
INSERT ITALICIZED TEXT HERE INSERT UNDERLINED TEXT HERE [s]INSERT STRIKED TEXT HERE[/s]
changing the size, face and color of your font
this is really easy, too.
SIZE: INSERT TEXT HERE FACE: INSERT TEXT HERE COLOR: INSERT TEXT HERE
left-align, center or right-align your text
your text is automatically left-aligned, so its not necessary to left-align it yourself, but i'll still put it in here.
LEFT-ALIGN: INSERT TEXT HERE CENTER: INSERT TEXT HERE RIGHT-ALIGN: INSERT TEXT HERE
inserting an image or video
want to post an image or a funny youtube video? heres how!
IMAGE: VIDEO:
blockquoting
this one's a fun one, i really like to use it a lot. it makes your font indent itself on both sides, like changing the margins in a word document. the more you blockquote, the skinnier your text will be. example:
you can make it really skinny!
or not skinny at all!
[blockquote]INSERT TEXT HERE[/blockquote]
linking!
linking to a different site or webpage is always handy, no?
whatever text you place here will become the link
thats all for now, folks! more may be added later; if you have any requests for codings, post them here! keep in mind, though, i will only be tutoring for simple things that can be used in posts and such. if you want more complicated codings, you can go here! for help.
