[/color] He meowed to himself, his nose wrinkling as the strong MarshClan scent markers washed over him. A patrol must have gone by not long ago. Did they think there was any use? It's not as though scent markers were going to stop The Family from entering MarshClan territory, and who went through this territory to enter MarshClan territory?
Osiris padded silently through his family's territory. He had only just left the camp, and in doing so left the party of his family that was about to go out and have their skills assessed by Adanna. Lucky enough for him, he had been able to worm his way out.
He had always prefered to work mostly alone and mounting an attack party with many cats did not sound fun for him. Thankfully, Adanna herself had trained him so she knew very well what he could do.
The black tom cat stopped as he neared the edge of MarshClan territory and scented the air. He had opted to go out and hunt a bit, but perhaps if he found some cat wandering alone...
"Good gracious, they do like to mark their borders."
The black tom cat shook his head slightly and scented the air again. The layer of snow masked most of the smells of prey that was out and about, but he did catch the faint smell of a mouse. Looking around, he spotted the brown body easily amongst the white snow. It was amazing that it had not heard him approach, but then again it looked rather busy attempting to dig up a root.
Crouching, the black rogue crept forward with practiced ease, paused a moment, then leapt forward powerfully. He felt his claws make contact with the brown creature who let out a shrill sound of surprise. He bit the back of the creatures neck to quite the sound and considered his kill.
It was a rather skinny thing, not unexpected for this time of year. It had been digging at the cold snow in order to unearth a root of some kind. Silly creature, those who did not pay attention to the world around them tended to not survive very long.
Osiris looked around then, his eyes slightly narrowed as he gazed around the silent territory.
