"You know,", Fox was saying rather loudly, "I'd like to get into a good fight. Just a fight for no reason and really get the poor cat into a fit." He was explaining to her, excitement flaming in his golden amber eyes. Nightingale sighed and shook her head. That was the problem with her brother. He was just too easily moved.
It he saw a mouse, he ran after it. If smelled rain, he hid. And if he found a Clan cat... well, the eay he treated them was very acceptable in Nightingale's opinion. Fox was the most reckless and impulsive member of their Family by a longshot. He didn't think anything through because he probably didn't care how it turned out. Even if it ended his life. Nightingale faced forward. That was where she drew the line.
"You and me both. Shall we patrol the border?" She suggested, no expression in her voice whatsoever.
"We always patrol that border." Fox grumbled, because apparently the place where they were most likely to find Clan cats wasn't good enough.
"And we always find some fresh meat, do we not?
"We do not."
Nightingale sighed in defeat. "And what would you sugg-"
"Nightingale!" That stupid, shrill voice interrupted. Nightingale didn't turn around, but stopped walking. "Fox! Oh, I'm really happy I found you guys!"
With a silent groan Nightingale turned. And there she was. That silly Athena cat, her puny, insignifigant, boring, and nice cousin. "I found one! And I can't take him alone!" She gasped, her pretty brown eyes wide.
'Of course you were not able to do so, stupid Athena. You are weak.' Nightingale thought cynicly, glaring at her cousin. She couldn't even handle a clan cat? What a pathetic she-cat this one had turned out to be.
"Are we the only ones you could find?" Nightingale snapped. Athena nodded, her ears suddenly pricking. Nightingale had heard it as well, and from Fox's ecstatic expression it hadn't escaped his notice either. Not one pair, but multiple were rushing through the forest to them.
"This is one?" Nightingale asked as the patrol jumped into the clearing. Nightingale narrowed her eyes. PineClan. They stood silent for a moment, surveying each other. Being given confidence from their advantage in numbers, a PineClan cat spoke first.
"Greetings, I am ShadeClan of PineClan, and this is my patr-"
"Why da heck are ya here?" Fox interrupted him, a dark gleam in his eye. The gray tabby shifted uncomfortably.
" We were hunting for herbs with our medicine cat, Bluestorm." Shadeclaw meowed, flicking his tail back to a frail looking tom who Nightingale faintly recognized.
"So you decide to steal ours, hmm? And attack my family?" Nightingale asked coldly, glancing at the battered Athena. Several throats were cleared by the visitors. Nightingale let a small, rare smile grace her face. They were anxious; she could tell.
"Round here if ya mess with one ya mess with all. An dat's not a very smart thing to do, y'know." Fox meowed with a grim smile, taking a step forward. One of the patrol, a Siamese she-cat, stepped forward as well.
"She attacked us." The she-cat hissed, disrespectfully in Nightingale's opinion.
" I wish you would change your tone." Nightingale sighed, bringing an onyx colored paw to her lips. The patrol watched her, waiting.
ooc. if interested, just join in with a pineclan cat or family member.

"This is one?"
"Greetings, I am ShadeClan of PineClan, and this is my patr-"
"Why da heck are ya here?"
"We were hunting for herbs with our medicine cat, Bluestorm."
Osiris and Irkalla, hunting together little ways away, heard voices floating through the forest towards them. "Sounds like we've got company."
Irkalla meowed, looking up through narrowed blue eyes. Osiris flicked his ears slightly, his green eyes also narrowing. "Yes, sounds like it." he meowed quietly, his voice it's typical calm. Osiris was the best of his siblings as keeping his cool. He seemed a gentle tom, but he was actually one of the more dangerous of either Irkalla or Nepthys. Being trained by Adanna tended to do that to you. "So you decide to steal ours, hmm? And attack my family?" "Round here if ya mess with one ya mess with all. An dat's not a very smart thing to do, y'know." "She attacked us."" I wish you would change your tone." "I think it's about time to add some fun to this party." Irkalla said lightly, her eyes sparkling slightly. She started to stalk quietly away before Osiris could answer, but it didn't matter. The two always seemed to be on the same radio wave as it was. Most of the time anyway. The two set off then, silently, one behind the other. Irkalla led the way towards the source of the sound, her ears pricked and her mouth watering slightly. She had never really been able to hide her anticipation. Osiris on the other hand padded along calmly and without expression, as though he did this all the time. They arrived upon the clearing and stepped into view, a few fox lengths to the right of the PineClan cats. "Well well well, what have we here?" Irkalla purred, her mouth curling into a leering smile. She took a step forward, her eyes searching the PineClan cats. She wondered if they had found their dead comrade. Irkalla had attacked the tom a few days ago, he had probably been found rather quickly. It hadn't been a rarely treaded path. If only they knew that she had been the attacker… but Adanna had always been adamant that she should disguise her scent on her victims. It helped protect her or something like that. Yeah right. Osiris took a step forward as well, standing a little ways away from his sister. His expression was more calm than hers, and his shoulders were relaxed, contrasting with her flexed muscles. He tipped his head very slightly to one side, observing the intruders. Adanna may have told Irkalla to hide her scent on victims, but she had taught Osiris. Had taught him to calculate and lull others into a false sense of security. Adanna had always said that an unprepared victim, surprised by an attack that came from right in front of their face, was the best kind of encounter. "Can we help you, Clanners?" He asked, his voice light and calm, much the opposite of Irkalla's dangerous purr. He rested his tail on Irkalla's shoulder and she immediately relaxed somewhat. He didn't want her to give away the game by looking too eager. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
