MarshClan has a set in stone belief that most cats follow: StarClan is law, StarClan is life, and StarClan is the higher power. Those who do not believe in StarClan are social outcasts, and those who go against the beloved Warrior Code are punished without mercy. At burials often more than half of the Clan stays the night vigil, mourning together "as a Clan should".
Apprentices receiving their warrior name know to never make a sound after saying "I do.", and those who do utter as much as a syllable are shucked of their warrior duties for a moon and given apprentice ones instead. Every ceremony is performed under the blanket of Silverpelt and "in the name of StarClan". Of course, a ceremony is the only time when that phrase is allowed to be used. Anyone caught blaspheming, or using StarClan or any of the their warrior ancestors' names in vain will be severely punished.
MarshClan cats are known to follow the Warrior Code down to every word, and frown down upon and sometimes confront those who don't. Warriors tend to force the Warrior Code upon their apprentices, some even going as far as to make their apprentice memorize it. word for word. They are quick to judge if another Clan's fault is brought up at a Gathering and quick to defend if a fault of MarshClan's is brought up. Very touchy, MarshClan cats are known to be.
MarshClan's territory isn't neccessarily a marsh; it's more of a wetland thanks to the rainshadow effect and two waterfalls on the territory. The cats have adjusted to this and are used to feeling small amounts of moisture underneath their paws. However due to this, their pads are softer than the other Clans' because of the lack of hard ground and are more likely to be scratched or hurt during a battle on another Clan's territory. This leads to a slower cat, and a bigger target for enemies.
However its territory is just another advantage to the Clan, as the other Clans are not used to fighting on such a wet terrain. This gives MarshClan a definite upper-hand in battle.
