As of today Somewhere in the Night has twenty-two members, most of which are amazing and active! I love you guys just for getting on and well, being a member so keep it up and invite your friends!
Speaking of friends, I was thinking... should we change our literate and advanced only status to open to all types of role players, literate or not? We'd certainly get need members, which we most definetely need. So tell me your opinion down below and I'm sure we'll get it straight.
Now to the main point of the update: power positions. As you can see, there are too few medicine cats and medicine cats will definetely be needed for our upcoming plot. DustClan still needs a deputy, and unless Derek makes a 180-degree turn PineClan is going to need a deputy at the end of the month as well. These are crucial spots that need to be filled, and if you are interested in a position I suggest you apply for it.
Now, the one-power position per person rule has been lifted to two power positions per person to fit this need. Until further notice (and when SN grows to 50 active members or so) this rule will stay in tact. So, I claim the PineClan medicine cat position if no one else applies for it. What about you?
That is all.

I think we should keep literate and advanced.
Also, only if no one wants the position: PRETZEL will take MarshClan Deputy

Yeah, but if we made it open to everyone we could help people become literate to advanced role players. I'm actually leaning towards making it open for everyone. Of course nothing's going to change without everyone's consent.

I'll take DustClan Medicine Cat until someone else joins I'm for literate and advanced. I know it helps people to join, but maybe we could have a sister site or something, and they could join once they are literate to advanced? I just know that that's why I enjoy roleplaying here, because it is so hard to find literate Warriors Roleplayers on neopets.

I agree with this completely. Like 100%. Especially the openess to all roleplayers. Pretzel, if we open up a little we can help illiterates becomes literates. I definitely support this.
I can try to get FoF members recruited, as I'm a relatively active member there anyways. No promises, but I'll mention it to them.
That being said, I totally claim the PineClan medicine cat apprentice.

I-I claim the OakClan medicine cat. ^^
I don't really mind if we let in literates or non-literates, so...

Frosty, you're on FoF too? o.o I'm on there also, and I had kind of thought it was you but I had doubts. No, that would be rude. I wouldn't like having people advertise and recruit members from my site, and I doubt Crow would like that either.
Rachel, Pretzel, I completely understand where you're coming from. However let's face it: there aren't many literates left, and the ones that are left are very hard to find.

I guess you are right on that, but I'm still not sure about letting people in. It just seems like this is the only decent roleplay I'm a part of, and I love it because it is literate. It's just so rare to actually have a group filled with literates.
I guess I was just raised never to lower the bar, only to raise it. I won't be devastated if we change it though.

But I get what you're saying: you don't want a bunch of people joining and posting crap sentences and characters and arguing with the staff about things that they don't understand.

Yeah, pretty much. But I know what you mean about their not being many literates. I believe this is a quandrum with many different answers depending on who you talk to. Another thing I understand is that this site is your baby. I've seen you say that, and I believe it. And I believe that because of that whatever you choose it'll be the best decision

Aww, thank you Fav. It is my little baby, as lame as that sounds. xD I'm not going to let in a bunch of super-illiterates, however... Semi-literates at best, to neopets' standards. :/
